Keystone’s Pin-teresting Spring Campaign

Lancaster home builder, Keystone Custom Homes, took a very pin-teresting approach to their most recent social media campaign! Their “Decorate Keystone’s Model Home for Spring” campaign ran through April and into May, where participants created Pinterest boards filled with spring home decorating ideas.

In order to be included in the chance to win the grand prize – a $250 gift card to Pottery Barn – contestants had to follow a few steps. Each board had to be titled “Decorate Keystone’s Model Home for Spring,” and include at least 10 pins that used the contest-specific hashtag #DecorateKCHHomeForSping.

Once the boards were created, participants were asked to post the link to their board on Keystone’s Facebook page for voting. The homebuilder used their Facebook polling app to encourage voting through their page. Anyone was welcome to vote, and all who did were entered to win a $50 Pottery Barn gift card. In order for your vote to be counted, voters had to submit their names and email addresses along with their favorite board.

With 11 contest entries and 50 voters, the campaign fared out well. By using both Pinterest and Facebook, Keystone was able to increase likes and followers on both forms of social media. By integrating both platforms into the competition, Keystone was able to reach more users and get a better response.

Aside from their increase in social media presence, Keystone has gained the names and email addresses of those who voted to be used in future marketing efforts.

This successful Pinterest campaign will not be Keystone’s last, so keep up with their website for news to come www.keystonecustomhome.com.
